Abstract
Student discipline is often underestimated by students because the rules are coercive and according to the students are only a barrier to their expression. Student awareness and compatibility between peers will affect student discipline at school. This study aims to empirically determine the relationship between self-awareness and peer conformity with student discipline at school. The subjects in this study were 94 students of SMPN 2 Jenawi with the criteria of 8th grade students of SMPN 2 Jenawi who are early adolescents. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire with a student discipline scale, a self-awareness scale, and a peer conformity scale. Data analysis in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study in the form of F of 6,316 and a significance of 0.003 (x < 0.05) with a simultaneous correlation of two variables of 0.122 so that there is a significant relationship between self-awareness and peer conformity with student discipline. The result of the correlation analysis is 0.251 which shows that self-awareness (X1) has a significant positive relationship with student discipline. The result of correlation analysis is 0.273 which shows that peer conformity (X2) has a significant positive relationship with student discipline.
