Abstract
Vote changes are a normal thing that happens to a party following a general election agenda. The dynamics of changes in party vote acquisition are indeed very interesting to study, including the 2014 and 2019 elections for the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in the Klaten Regency DPRD elections. This research aims: 1) To determine changes in the regional basis for the votes of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle in the 2014 and 2019 legislative elections, 2) To analyze electorally geographically the changes in the votes of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle in the 2014 and 2019 elections in Klaten Regency. The analytical methods used are Geographic Association Coefficient (KAG), Location Quentient (LQ) analysis, and descriptive analysis to analyze qualitative data. The unit of analysis used is the sub-district. The research results from 5 (one) electoral districts in Klaten Regency, 4 (four) electoral districts experienced a decrease in KAG values and 1 (one) electoral district experienced an increase in KAG values. In general, the vote results of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle were distributed well. The results of the LQ analysis with regional coverage in the form of sub-districts in Klaten Regency show that the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle experienced changes in Base and Non-Basic areas in 2014 and 2019 with the description Base becoming Base totaling 6 (six) Districts, then the areas with the description Non-Basic becoming Non-Basis totaling 9 (nine) sub-districts, areas with the criteria of Non-Basis becoming Base are 6 (six) Sub-districts, while the description of Base areas becoming Non-Basic is 5 (five) Sub-districts. Based on the results of the analysis of physical and non-physical geographic factors influencing changes in base areas and non-base areas for the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle's vote acquisition in the 2014 and 2019 elections in Klaten Regency
