Abstract

Klaten Regency is included in the Disaster Prone Areas, namely earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, floods, landslides and droughts. SPAB is a guideline in disaster mitigation with three pillars including the pillars of disaster safe facilities, disaster management, and disaster risk prevention and reduction education. The objectives of this study were 1) to analyse students' perceptions regarding the implementation of the pillars of disaster safe education in Klaten Regency. 2) to analyse the priority of the third pillar of disaster risk reduction and prevention education in SPAB Klaten Regency. The research method used qualitative with a case study research design. The research instruments were questionnaires and interview guidelines, while the data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics and analytical hierarchy process. The research was conducted in three schools included in the SPAB Klaten Regency, namely SMA N 1 Karangnongko, SMA N 1 Wedi and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten. The informants in the study were the head of curriculum, student and disaster preparedness school coaches. The results showed 1) Research on the implementation of the disaster safe facilities pillar at SMA N 1 Wedi is in the high category, for SMA N 1 Karangnongko and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten shows a medium category. The implementation of the disaster management pillar at SMA N 1 Wedi is in the high category, for SMA N 1 Karangnongko and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten is in the medium category. The implementation of the prevention and DRR education pillar at SMA N 1 Wedi and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten showed a medium category and SMA N 1 Karangnongko showed a low category. 2) Based on the results of the analytical hierarchy process several sub-pillars of prevention and DRR education, the decision-making priority analysis has similar priorities among the three schools, namely school policies, human resources, preparedness procedures, and rescue methods. These priorities are the school's efforts in mitigating disasters that threaten.
