Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Factors Affecting Private Investment in East Java 2016-2020". The aim of this research is to determine the influence of each independent variable, namely the exchange rate, inflation, interest rates and labor on private investment in East Java during the 2016-2020 period. The data used in this research is time series data from 2016-2020, and the data was obtained from various sources including the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Bank Indonesia, and the East Java Province Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Service (DPMPTSP). The analytical method used in this research is the Panel Data method. The research results show that the independent variable that has a significant influence on Private Investment is the Exchange Rate (KURS) variable. Meanwhile, the variables Inflation, Bank Indonesia Interest Rates, and Labor did not significantly influence the Private Investment variable in East Java during the 2016-2020 period. These findings suggest that changes in exchange rates can have a major impact on private investment in the East Java region. Therefore, management and policies related to exchange rates are important for the government and business people in an effort to increase private investment in the region.
