Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a religious character measurement instrument based on the thoughts of R.M.P. Sosrokartono. Sosrokartono's thoughts were chosen by the researchers in making the instrument with the consideration that the thoughts outlined in the words of R.M.P Sosrokartono are very relevant to the character of Indonesian society. This research uses a research and development approach method with 9 stages of development. The data analysis technique of this research is through content validity and construct validity tests. validity was tested using expert judgment, while construct validity was tested empirically through statistical analysis using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Before conducting the CFA analysis, a reliability analysis will be carried out using alpha cronbach to see the reliability of the instrument that the researcher is compiling. This research produces a religious character with five aspects that are in accordance with the personality of Indonesian society which is often referred to as local wisdom. The five aspects are (1) Suwung Pamrih, tebih ajrih (Pro Social human), (2) Joko Pring (as-shiddiq human), (3) Empty bag science, holey bag science, sunji science (al-itsar human), (4) Mandor klungsu (al-hikmah human), and (5) Sang Guru (muhasabah human). This religious character instrument has five aspects with 24 indicators and 32 valid items. Keywords : Instrument Development, Character, Religious, Sosrokartono
