Abstract

Subjective well-being among students is important because it affects learning achievement and study continuity. Subjective well-being is influenced by internal and external factors, whereas for Muslims in general religious life plays a strong role in their daily life which also has an impact on subjective well-being. Diversity can be seen from gratitude and religiosity. The Solo Raya region has a relatively large number of tertiary institutions, with several of them being religious-based tertiary institutions. As agents of change, it is not easy for students to simultaneously complete coursework, organizational activities and social life. This often causes disappointment and reduces subjective well-being, especially when the results obtained are not as expected. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of gratitude and religiosity with the subjective well-being of Solo Raya students with the criteria for a sample of active students studying at public or private universities in the Greater Solo area who are Muslim and starting education in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 The hypothesis put forward is the major hypothesis: there is a role of gratitude and religiosity with the subjective well-being of Solo Raya students. Minor hypothesis: 1). there is a significant positive role of gratitude towards the subjective well-being of Solo Raya students 2). there is a significant positive role of religiosity on the subjective well-being of Solo Raya students. The correlational quantitative method was chosen to test the hypothesis. The population of this research is active Solo Raya students from the 2019-2022 class with a total sample of 296 students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The gratitude scale, the religiosity scale, and the subjective well-being scale are measurement tools for obtaining research data. Data analysis used multiple linear regression techniques with the help of SPSS version 21.0. with the results of the study there is a significant role of gratitude and religiosity on subjective well-being with a value of F = 127.686 and a sig value (0.000). There is a very significant positive role of gratitude towards subjective well-being with a value of t = 13.425 and a sig value (0.000). There is no significant positive role of religiosity on subjective well-being with a value of t = 0.701 and a sig value (0.484).
