Abstract

Science is a science that is constantly evolving. Indonesia, which is a developing country, also feels the impact of the development of science. One form of increasing knowledge is the increasing number of people who need education. The government continues to strive to improve the quality of Indonesian education and education is of particular concern to the Indonesian government. Because the progress of a country depends on the quality of education. The development of education in the city of Surakarta is experiencing rapid growth. This can be seen from the many tertiary institutions in Surakarta, so it is not surprising that many outsiders study in the city of Surakarta. The existence of the PESMA UMS building is not sufficient to meet the current needs of students, because the needs are increasing and the facilities available are not sufficient. To accommodate students who are looking for a place to live with complete facilities, it is necessary to have student apartments, student apartments are a solution that creates a good, healthy, safe and comfortable environment, so parents don't feel anxious when their children live in a new environment. A student apartment with a biophilic concept that aims to make the apartment environmentally friendly and comfortable for its residents.
