Abstract

LAZIS Gentan is one of the amil zakat institution in Gentan. To ease the zakat management in LAZIS Gentan, a management information system (MIS) software that is able to do IT-based zakat management will be developed. This zakat MIS software will be web-based using PHP as its programming language and the development itself will be based on SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) using the waterfall model method. The waterfall method consists of 5 steps, i.e. communication, planning, modeling, construction, deployment. The waterfall method is opted for the development because of the method’s ease of use, maintainability, and compatibility for smaller system. The zakat MIS developed is quite feasible to use because it passed several tests. The zakat MIS passed the black box testing with adequate results and it scores 85,5 or A in SUS test. The zakat MIS also fulfilled the system requirements which arranged before.
