Abstract
Krikilan Village is one of the villages in Kalijambe District in Sragen Regency which has various kinds of tourist objects, one of which is the Sangiran Museum tourist attraction. The Krikilan Cluster Sangiran Early Man Museum has the potential to be developed because the Krikilan Cluster Early Man Museum tourism area has decreased in 2022, due to a decrease in visitors due to Covid-19. In addition, the existing facilities are still incomplete and the lack of promotion from the local government. The aims of this study were to (1) analyze the tourism potential of the Sangiran Early Man Museum in Kalijambe District, Sragen Regency and (2) analyze the development strategy for the Sangiran Early Man Museum Tourism in Kalijambe District, Sragen Regency by using SWOT analysis. This research method uses qualitative methods and conducts surveys, field observations and in-depth interviews conducted with the management of the Krikilan Cluster Early Man Museum and 20 visitors to the Sangiran Museum using accidental sampling techniques (accidental data collection). The results of the study show that the Sangiran Early Man Museum Krikilan Cluster has quite high potential such as a good exhibition space, tourism has a very high value for science and implements important assets for the Sragen government, since the designation of this area as "World Heritage" by UNESCO and great attention in its development. The development strategy according to the SWOT analysis that can be done is to develop strengths and opportunities by creating tour packages around it and promoting using social media.
