Abstract
Trauma in general is a physical or psychological injury. Dental trauma that often occurs is to the teeth which is damage to the hard tooth tissue and or periodontal due to the impact of hard objects. Trauma to the teeth can occur directly or indirectly. Tooth avulsion is one of the most serious types of dental injuries because it can cause damage to several hard and soft tissue structures around the avulsed tooth. Avulsion is the complete detachment of the tooth from the socket due to direct or indirect trauma. Tooth reimplantation is a treatment for avulsion management, which aims to restore the physiological function of the tooth. Reimplantation is an act of inserting an avulsed tooth into the socket. The research method is literature review discusses tooth avulsion which includes understanding tooth avulsion, causes of tooth avulsion, management of tooth avulsion, treatment of tooth avulsion. The main treatment option for an avulsed tooth is replantation followed by splinting. There are several factors that need to be considered in carrying out replantation treatment so that a good prognosis can be obtained from a tooth avulsion.
