Abstract

Surakarta City is one of the most populous cities in Central Java, with one of the largest populations in a small area. The rapid development of the city has implications for the increase in settlement areas and the increase in population. Especially in this modern era, one of the most important aspects of human life is health. Almost every sub-district in Surakarta City has at least 1 health facility which is analogous to covering the entire area around the facility. However, when viewed from a spatial point of view, the distribution and affordability of health facilities in Surakarta City are not too spread or tend to be close to each other. From this description, the researcher is interested in conducting research with the first highlight by the researcher used is the distribution of the number of health facilities and the suitability of the existence of health facilities to their affordability to settlements spatially in Surakarta City. The objectives of this study are: (1) Analyzing the distribution pattern of health facilities in Surakarta City (2) Analyzing the affordability of health facility areas with residential areas in Surakarta City. This research method uses a census according to Sugiyono (2008: 122), which is a sampling technique when all members of the population are used as samples by obtaining data from Google Earth by knowing each coordinate point of the location of health facilities in Surakarta City. The data used are BPS data and Surakarta City Health Office and data from the Geospatial Information Agency. The results of this study (1) The distribution pattern of health facilities in the form of health centers produces a dispersed distribution pattern. In public hospitals that produce random distribution patterns. Health facilities in Surakarta City, namely puskesmas and hospitals, are dominant in the central area of Surakarta City, which is the center of government in Surakarta City, where accessibility is complete and adequate. For public hospital health facilities there are only 4 sub-districts, namely in the sub-districts of Jebres, Pasar Kliwon, Banjarsari, and Laweyan. In the Serengan sub-district there is no public hospital and the west end of the Laweyan sub-district has not yet reached a health center. (2) The affordability of health facilities to settlements in Surakarta City has met the SNI standards on the procedures for planning residential environments but still have to pay attention to the few shortcomings that exist.
