Abstract

Industry is a sector that has an important role in the economic development of a region. This can be used to increase the potential for community empowerment because of the narrower employment opportunities Industrialization in Boyolali Regency there are various types of processed industries, such as the soybean processing industry which is found in the Ngemplak District area. Problem formulation 1) what is the strategy of entrepreneurs in maintaining the tempeh industry business from the beginning of its establishment to the present? 2) How is the reach of the product marketing area to the development of the tempeh industry? 3) How is the sustainability of the tempenya industry? The objectives of the study are 1) analyzing the reach of the tempeh industry business marketing area in Ngemplak District, 2) reviewing the entrepreneurs' strategic efforts in maintaining the tempeh industry business, and 3) analyzing the sustainability of the tempeh industry business in Ngemplak District. This study used primary data from the results of interview activities, and secondary data from related agencies. The data analysis method used is qualitative descriptive analysis and 4P method analysis (Place, Price, Product, &; Promotion). The results of this study 1) the marketing reach is still local and regional. Entrepreneurs market their products to several markets including dibal, gagan, mangu, and several markets outside Ngemplak District, including the Colomadu market located in Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency and in the Legi market located in Banjarsari District, Surakarta City. 2) Marketing strategy there are several considerations of price, product, location and marketing. 3) the sustainability of the tempeh industry which is influenced by factors such as raw materials, business capital, labor, and marketing. Business capital can be adjusted to production needs, because tempeh craftsmen benefit from the production capital spent.
