Abstract
Halal food is very important, this is because consumers need certainty regarding the raw materials used in the manufacture of food to be consumed, whether the food is in accordance with halal standards or not in the manufacturing process. The halalness of a product is the most important thing for consumers, especially for Muslim consumers. This kind of thing is one of the considerations for them in buying and consuming it. If a product or food contains food ingredients that are haram, then the food should not be consumed. Therefore, in choosing a food product, as a consumer, you must be observant in choosing and sorting. Business actors must provide the best service for consumers in their stalls. Not only does it provide varied menu choices, clean places to eat, nutritious and healthy food, it also must not ignore the halal aspect of all types of food that they produce and sell to buyers. But behind this, the guarantee of the halalness of the product for consumers is a basic thing that must be guaranteed by the producer, which in this case is the owner of the shop or business actor. The purpose of this study is to determine the awareness of food stall business actors around the Surakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMS) Surakarta City and Sragen Regency in providing halal food and the legal consequences if food stall business actors around the Surakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMS) Surakarta City and Sragen Regency are in the Process. The Production Is Not In Accordance With The Criteria Of Halal Food. Based on this study, it was found that for the awareness of food stall business actors around the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) Surakarta City and Sragen Regency in providing halal food based on the research conducted by the author there are some who really maintain the halal food, and there are also some shop owners who doubt whether the food they sell is really halal or not.
