Abstract

This research uses three main approaches, namely qualitative, phenomenological, and descriptive. The research process was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing. In testing the validity of data using source triangulation, method triangulation and data analysis techniques. The results showed that the method of forming a religious character through the congregational prayer program for mahasantri in the KH Mas Mansur pesma is the first Internalization Method, namely theoretical planting through Islamic studies and halaqoh-halaqoh bada subuh and bada magrib. Second, the Exemplary Method, of course this task is not only for mahasantri but this exemplary task is for all residents of the pesma. Third, the habituation method has been implemented in pesma, namely when the adhan time arrives all activities are stopped. Fourth, the Story Method is carried out in the halaqoh at dawn and maghrib. fifth, the Advice Method by attracting mahasantri hearts. Sixth, the Award Method this method is applied in Pesma by giving free meal vouchers to administrators. Seventh, the method of punishment for mahasantri who are not active in activities, they are not allowed to continue in pesma. Eighth, Playing Method, this method is the role of the family in shaping religious character when children are still easy to direct. Supporting factors that influence internally include self-awareness and deep mastery of religious knowledge. Meanwhile, externally, support from disciplined friends, family, a supportive environment, regulations, and dedicated administrators also play an important role. On the other hand, there are inhibiting factors that affect internally, such as lack of mastery of religious knowledge, dependence on online games, and fatigue. Externally, some of the inhibiting factors are the large number of college assignments, involvement as an activist student, low discipline in some administrators, and the imbalance of the environment in Pesma with the environment outside.
