Abstract
Cengklik Reservoir is located in Ngemplak District, Boyolali, Central Java. The location is between Ngargorejo Village and Sobokerto Village. The main function of the Cengklik Reservoir is as an irrigation facility to irrigate the rice fields around the reservoir. The Cengklik Reservoir is also used by local residents for other purposes such as fishing and recreational facilities. Cengklik Reservoir is one of the developing natural tourist destinations in Boyolali. Many tourism and recreational activities are carried out around the Cengklik Reservoir in the form of fishing, culinary, and natural tourism in the form of scenic beauty of the Cengklik Reservoir. However, with so much potential, the Cengklik Reservoir is still unable to attract much interest from tourists. In addition, in 2021 the Cengklik Reservoir will begin revitalization. This revitalization project is a project of the Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai (BBWS), Surakarta. The main objective of this project is to rehabilitate old reservoir dams which have begun to suffer damage to the embankment body. This issue is used as the basis for planning the development of the Cengklik Edu Park tourist area. The Cengklik Edu Park concept is an educational tourism concept that presents knowledge about aquaculture and agriculture as well as water hyacinth processing. The tourism center will be in Dukuh Turibang. The tourists will be invited to participate in various activities that introduce them to the process of fish farming and agriculture as well as the manufacture of processed water hyacinth.
