Abstract
In protecting the rice plants from pests, a farmer must spray a disinfectant that may damage the rice plants. Rice must receive regular maintenance in order to obtain optimal results. In addition, farmers must also think about reducing pests in rice fields that can damage rice plants. The tool designed is a tool used for midges and monitoring water levels by utilizing solar panels, so there is no need to use PLN electricity which will increase the cost of paying PLN. This tool uses two microcontrollers, namely Arduino Uno R3 and Nodemcu ESP 8266. The data obtained by Nodemcu will be sent to the blynk application on the smartphone. Tests during the day used speakers that were programmed to turn on and off automatically every few seconds to produce a sound that kept the sparrows from escaping. The results of speaker testing during the day showed that some of the birds that the speaker's voice reached fled away from the sound. At night, the automatic speaker is deactivated and replaced with a pest trap consisting of an electrified wire from a mosquito racket module and ultraviolet light to attract pests such as leafhoppers into the wire and get electrocuted. The test results for the pest trap tool when the tool is left overnight and checked again in the afternoon are there already pests trapped on the wire.
