Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and work readiness and to find out the differences in work readiness in terms of the work experience of Javanese students at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Correlational quantitative research using the cluster random sampling technique in taking a sample of 306 respondents with the following criteria: Students of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Class of 2019, and Javanese ethnicity. Collecting research data using a questionnaire on the scale of social support and work readiness. Research data analysis using Pearson Product Moment and Anacova. The results of the study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between social support and job readiness for students of Javanese ethnicity at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta with a value of R = 0.619 with an effective contribution of social support to work readiness of 38.3% and 61.7% the other came from other factors which were not examined in this study. The results of the study showed that there was no difference in work readiness in terms of the work experience of Javanese students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta with a value of ρ = 0.949 > 0.05.
