Abstract
Wereng, grasshoppers, ladybugs are some examples of pests that have the most influence on plant growth, especially rice. These pests absorb nutrients in rice so that the leaves change color and the plant will die. Indonesia as a country with large agricultural land has recurring problems regarding this rice pest. Farmers often fail to harvest simply because the rice has been burnt due to pests that frequently appear. To overcome this problem farmers often spray pesticides to eradicate pests. Farmers spend a lot of energy to carry tanks filled with liquid pesticides that have been mixed with liters of water. In order to make it easier for farmers to spray pesticides, we need a tool that can work automatically and doesn't spend a lot of energy. Therefore a research tool was created in the form of a prototype of an IOT (Internet Of Things) based automatic pesticide spray monitoring system. This tool has used a Real Time Clock so that farmers can set when pesticides will be sprayed. This tool also uses a pH sensor and a TDS sensor to monitor pesticide liquids. In the water tank there is also a Water Level sensor as a sensor for detecting liquid discharge in the tub when the liquid has run out, the buzzer will sound. This tool can work automatically with a predetermined time so that farmers don't spend a lot of energy and don't bother circling the rice fields to spray pesticides. Based on the test, the tool has worked properly and can spray pesticide liquid according to the time that has been set. The results of the comparison of monitoring from the digital pH sensor and the pH sensor on the tool obtained an average error of 0.34% and the results of a comparison of monitoring from the digital TDS sensor and the TDS sensor on the tool obtained an average error of 0.192%.
