Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of preparedness of students for earthquakes in SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta by using four parameters of disaster preparedness. The research population consisted of 144 students from class X-A to X-D with a total sample of 59 students. Used the descriptive analysis method, it was found that for the index of students' disaster preparedness for earthquake disasters was 75,25, which was included in the ready category. As for the preparedness index for each parameter, the results for the knowledge and attitude parameters were 84.96 with a well prepared category. The emergency response plan parameter has an index value of 72.54 which is included in the ready category. The third parameter of the disaster warning system obtained a preparedness index value of 53,39 in the unprepared category. While the last parameter is the resource mobilization parameter of 83.05 with the very ready category, same as well as the knowledge and attitude parameters. Based on these results for the highest index value is the parameter of knowledge and attitude. Meanwhile, parameters with low index values are disaster warning system parameters.
