Abstract

Wonogiri City is one of the regencies in the Solo Raya area that has several shopping centers spread across various areas. However, it does not yet have adequate facilities to accommodate and manage increased trading activities. The growth of modern shopping malls as commercial areas reflects the form of trade and entertainment activities in a city that include commerce and service. Wonogiri City has potential and competitiveness, so that economic development running well is needed to advance the regional economic sector. From the existence of this trade center planning aims to improve the quality of the economy, the quality of urban space and revive the area that is now abandoned. The method used in the design process is qualitative by going through the stages of observation, data analysis, setting design themes, design concepts, design schematic drawings. Design parameters in designing use a blend of Green Architecture principles and Contemporary Architecture principles. The design process resulted in the design of Wonogiri Trade Center that can support the smooth economy and increase regional income of Wonogiri City. Environmentally friendly and comfortable design design in accordance with the concept of Green Architecture and Contemporary.
