Abstract

Humans and property are very difficult to separate, because within humans there is a tendency to own property in order to maintain the existence of life and enjoyment both in material and non-material forms. This shows that there is a human tendency to collect and multiply wealth which then raises a logical consequence of a spiritual dryness of faith caused by some humans who are greedy for wealth. Al-Qur'an has provided guidelines and guides for finding, collecting, and utilizing wealth for the welfare of his life in the world. It is these guidelines that should form the basis of human thought and action in order to seek wealth without arbitrarily forgetting what should be the obligation of Muslims, namely worshiping Allah SWT. In Surah Al Humazah, Allah has denounced those who like to collect wealth without spending it for good. By using qualitative methods and library research types, research will be conducted by examining the book Tafsir Fi Zhilalil-Qur'an by Sayyid Qutb as primary data and other literature in the form of books, journals, and reports on previous research results as secondary data. After researching, in surah al-Humazah the meaning of the sentence jama'a as well as reports of previous research results as secondary data. After researching, in surah al-Humazah the meaning of the sentence jama'a ma>lan interpreted as people who likes to collect treasures and count them,Humans give themselves power over property so that they cannot escape from the confinement of property that controls them.because they feel proud and arrogant with the wealth they have.Even though in the eyes of Allah they are despicable and even Allah has prepared a very painful punishment for people who collect wealth obsessively, namely being put into the fires of hutamah hell. The behavior of obsessively collecting wealth can also have negative effects such as miserliness, arrogance, greed, and destruction for him. In order to prevent negative impacts from arising, the Qur'an has provided a solution for humans not to accumulate wealth excessively, namely by being grateful to Allah, not loving wealth too much, using wealth wisely and paying zakat and giving alms.
