Abstract

Pekalongan City is one of the cities in the Central Java region which has a worldwide characteristic, namely its batik culture. Batik is an Indonesian cultural asset that must be maintained and preserved, with the development of the era when batik spread throughout Indonesia. Each region in Indonesia even has its own unique batik. Even though it is spread in several areas, Pekalongan batik is the largest producer because batik was born in the Pekalongan area so that consumers are more interested in this typical Pekalongan batik. However, the interest of tourists visiting the Pekalongan area tends to be low, because batik is used as a buying and selling business so that people from outside Pekalongan City come to take batik goods that will be used as wares. To get tourists visiting Pekalongan City, namely by designing the Pekalongan City area with an eco-cultural approach. Through designing the Batik City Tourism area as a form of providing educative public space through the Eco-Cultural Tourism approach and designing the Batik City Tourism area as a form of providing public open space in the form of a recreational environment in the urban area of Pekalongan through the Eco-Cultural Tourism approach.
