Abstract
Batam City is a city in Riau Islands Province, located strategically on an international shipping lane. As an archipelago, Batam City is surrounded by the ocean so it has a lot of tourism potential, especially marine tourism. One of the most visited marine tourism is Dendang Melayu, which was built in 2012. The existence of environmental degradation in this area can reduce the attractiveness and potentially reduce tourist visits. The application of ecological concepts in the development of Dendang Melayu is expected to be able to solve problems in the area. The purpose of this design is to get the concept of designing Dendang Melayu Batam as a recreational waterfront that is able to accommodate various activities and visitor needs and designing recreational waterfront Dendang Melayu area with an ecological architecture approach.
