Abstract

Education is a highly significant role in an individual's life. The existence of Special Schools (SLB) is one of the government's efforts in bridging children with special needs in order to improve their skills and abilities through accredited formal education institutions. Learning in the conventional way that is still applied at SLB Negeri Sukoharjo makes students feel bored and causes reduced student concentration on learning materials. Educational game tools as a medium for introducing musical instruments are one of the most effective media to introduce various kinds of musical instruments, especially to children with intellectual disabilities. Through this educational game, researchers aim to be able to help the teaching and learning process to be more effective in delivering material. This educational game will be developed using construct 2 which has integrated animation, sound and images to make it more interactive and interesting for students. This research was conducted using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method and data collection was carried out by observation and interviews. This educational game produces an android-based application that is tested through 2 stages in the form of alpha testing using blackbox and beta testing using usability testing. The application testing using the blackbox method yielded positive results, indicating that the application functions well. These results provide strong support for the testing conducted using the SUS method, which resulted in an SUS score of 85.33. This score indicates that the educational game Eksplorasi Musik has achieved an Excellent category with a Grade Scale B
