Abstract
Rainy season in Indonesia has resulted in many laundry entrepreneurs in the Muham- madiyah University of Surakarta having in common, namely the large number of consumers but slow in processing due to lack of sunlight. Based on these problems, this final project will create a solution for a clothes dryer cabinet based on an Arduino microcontroller whichaims to facilitate and solve the problems of every laundry entrepreneur, with a testing loca-tion in the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. This clothes drying cabinet will controlthe fan and heating lamp as a substitute for the quantity of wind and sunlight in the rainy season. In this device system, clothes are not directly dried by natural sunlight or wind, but use fans and heating lamps instead of solar heaters which will be controlled by power, tem-perature and time. This clothes drying cabinet uses plywood and angle iron as the main rawmaterials with the planned dimensions of 1 meter, 0.5 meters and 2 meters, and is kept not too heavy. Meanwhile, for the electronic side, it uses a fan and a heating lamp. The way thistool works starts from the clothes that have been washed and hung in the cupboard, then thecupboard door is closed then setting the time and temperature on the controller that has beenprovided. After the drying process is complete, there will be an alarm buzzer sound. Keywords: arduino, fan, dryercabinet, heater, temperature sensor.
