Abstract

Pacitan Regency has very diverse tourist objects, ranging from natural tourism, man-made tourism to cultural tourism. These tours have the potential to be developed, but in reality there are still many tourism developments in Pacitan that run unevenly, so that there are several tourist objects that lack attractiveness and the number of tourist visits is small. This study aims to analyze the potential of tourist objects and analyze strategies for developing tourist attractions in Pacitan Regency. The research method is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that tourist objects with high internal potential were Tabuhan Cave and Banyu Tibo Beach, medium internal potential were General Soedirman Monument, Watu Bale Beach, and Klepu River, and low internal potential were Gula Aren Temon, Goa Putri, and Tawang Beach. Meanwhile, tourist objects classified as high external potential are Tabuhan Cave, General Soedirman Monument, and Klepu River, medium external potential are Watu Bale Beach, and Banyu Tibo Beach, and low external potential are Gula Aren Temon, Goa Putri, and Tawang Beach. Development strategies based on SWOT analysis that can be carried out are improving road access, widening roads, providing public transportation, increasing capacity and completeness of tourist attraction facilities, and tourism promotion
