Abstract
Electric Car Research Center (ECRC) is a research platform for engineering students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta to work on the development of energy-efficient electric cars. In the Shell Eco Marathon (SEM) competition in 2022 which was held at the Mandalika Lombok circuit, ECRC sent the Ababil Evo III Prototype electric car. In the KMHE and SEM competitions in 2022, the Urban Uev-15 Trisula electric car could not take part in the race due to chassis and body incompatibility with KMHE and SEM regulations. This research aims to produce a design for the Uev-15 Trisula urban car based on KMHE and SEM regulations, then conduct a cost analysis on alternative designs and measure performance, value, and ranking of alternative designs. The method used is Value Engineering to produce the best alternative design by calculating performance, cost analysis, and value. The stages carried out are the information stage, creative stage, analysis stage, development stage, and recommendation stage. The result of this research is that alternative design 3 is selected after ranking with a performance of 58.42, a cost of Rp. 85,286,400, and a Value of 0.00000092.
