Abstract
Research on new learning patterns in the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMA Batik 1 Surakarta aims to describe new learning patterns produced after curriculum changes, problem constraints and solutions that occur after the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. The research method I use is the Qualitative method with a case study design. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction analysis, data validity by triangulation. The results of this study show that (1) there are changes in assessment, namely diagnostic assessment, formative assessment, and summative assessment. (2) Lack of good communication between the principal, Foundation, and teachers, and also lack of references to students and teachers. (3) use social media as literature and reference material for teachers and students. So as to solve the problem of lack of references.
