Abstract
the high school level requires a more varied way of teaching. The existing curriculum also still makes students feel there are problems regarding their learning. The purpose of this research is to increase the activity of project-based learning in the independent curriculum in phase E (grade ten) of Senior High School 1 Pamotan. This study uses classroom action research. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results show that the application of the project-based learning model in the independent curriculum can increase the activity of students. With the application of a project-based learning model, it is hoped that students will be able to better understand the material being studied. So it can be concluded that the application of project-based learning at Senior High School 1 Pamotan has a positive effect on student activity in phase E (Class Ten) Senior High School 1 Pamotan.
