Abstract
Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is an issue that must be considered by all organizations, for example in the industrial world. The implementation of K3 in informal sector companies, for example, home industry, is still weak compared to formal sector companies. One example is IKM shop Figha which produces and sells leather shoes in Magetan Regency. During the production process, there have been work accidents such as hands being scratched by scissors, fingers being punctured by sewing needles, fingers bruised from being hit by a hammer, and toenails broken by being hit by a hammer. Therefore this study aims to identify, assess and control risks to minimize the occurrence of work accidents using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) method with the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) approach. The results of the research conducted showed 33 potential hazards. The risk assessment carried out obtained 11 (34%) potential hazards in the low category, 10 (30%) potential hazards in the medium category, 8 (24%) potential hazards in the high category, and 4 (12%) potential hazards in the very high category. Risk control is carried out using engineering in the form of providing exhaust fans and the addition of a backrest on the chair, administration in the form of procuring K3 symbols related to unsafe actions and holding a 5R culture, as well as PPE in the form of using goggles, masks, rubber gloves and safety shoes.
