Abstract

The purpose of this study is as a means of: (1) Identifying the forms of presupposition contained in the talk show humor tonight show, Identifying the forms of humorous utterances contained in the talk show humor tonight show, and (3) Describing the forms of application of presuppositions in learning Indonesian. The author in this study uses a descriptive method because it focuses on process rather than results. Presuppositions in the talk show humor tonight show net tv are the subject of this study. The information in this study is in the form of words and sentences discussed by the host and guest stars. The source of data is in the form of listening and written data. The results of this study found 39 data in the form of existential presuppositions. As well as the implications for learning Indonesian that can be applied at the junior high school level (SMP) class IX in the 2013 curriculum in KD 3.5 and 4.5 short story text material.
