Abstract
Humans are social creatures who still need other people to meet their needs. Thus, it requires one individual to interact with other individuals. But unfortunately there are some people who still experience difficulties in interacting with their social environment, for example a lack of self-confidence, an individualistic attitude that now makes other people no longer care about each other, even people with physical disabilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-acceptance and social interaction of persons with physical disabilities at BBRSPDF. Prof. Dr. Soeharso Surakarta. The hypothesis put forward in this study is that there is a positive relationship between self-acceptance and social interaction in persons with physical disabilities at BBRSPDF. Respondents in this study were BBRSPDF beneficiaries who were selected through purposive sampling. Retrieval of data using research instruments consisting of a scale of self-acceptance and a scale of social interaction. The data analysis used to process the data is product moment analysis with SPSS20. The results showed that the correlation coefficient (pearson correlation) was 0.408 with sig. (2-tailed) p = 0.408 (p> 0.05) showed no correlation between self-acceptance and social interaction in persons with physical disabilities at BBRSPDF Prof.Dr. Soeharso Surakarta.
