Abstract
This design is motivated by the need for housing in the city of Pontianak. This need is based on the response of the mayor of Pontianak with population data. The choice of flats as a form of housing is due to limitations on urban land and low-income communities as the target occupants. The concept of urban agriculture is needed to support the regional economy and social relations between surrounding communities. The data in this study will be in the form of quantitative and qualitative data, both derived from primary data and secondary data. However, in developing the analysis to synthesis (design decisions), it will be discussed in a descriptive qualitative manner so that what exists are pictures or narratives that lead to the embodiment of the architectural design. The results of the design show the embodiment of the functional concept and the needs for each residential activity as well as providing solutions in completing the residential backlog of the city of Pontianak
