Abstract

The wisdom of the ‘Iddah period of a woman after a divorce is to capture offspring and prevent the mixing of the offspring of the previous man or husband. This study aims to analyze the wisdom of the ‘Iddah period on women's reproductive health from a gynecological perspective. This research is included in the type of library research (Library Research) using a scientific approach. The ‘Iddah period is the waiting period for a woman after being separated from her husband for 3 Quru' or 3 times the holy period for women which has an impact on cleaning the female reproductive organs and straightening lineages to avoid mixing lineages. The results of the analysis of the wisdom of the ‘Iddah period on women's reproductive health in this study shows that the period of cleaning the reproductive organs takes 120 days because women's immunity has a genetic memory for something like semen that lasts for 120 days and can avoid infectious diseases such as cervical cancer due to weakening immunity that can occur due to the influence of free relationships and multiple partners.
