Abstract
Arisan is a social activity in a community which is implemented in the form of a draw in each period. Along with the development of the era and technological advances, online arisan is now emerging where an activity is carried out online/through social media that can be accessed anywhere, but online arisan often defaults because there is no clarity on the agrrement in the arisan and the lack of legal force in it. This type of research uses a normative – empirical method, namely a method that is carried out by examining literature/secondary law materials and the author researches directly in the field by taking an object approach obtained form interviewa or direct obsevation. Meanwhile, data collection techniques used literature study and interview techniques. The practice of online gathering is permissible under Islamic law as long as it does not violate sharia principles. However, there are a number of risk that arisan praticipants must be aware of, such as the risk of fraud, risk of loss and risks that are not in accordance with Islamic values. Legal protection for members has not been optimally guarantted, this is relate to the lack of regulations govering the online gathering itself, causing legal uncertainty and diddiculties in resolving disputes. Members must be more vigilant in choosing to organize a social gathering. Collaboration is needed between online arisan organizer and banks/fintech to improve security and tranparency in managing arisab funds.
