Abstract
Early adult women who have a negative body image and low social support will affect the level of self-acceptance in a negative direction. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body image and social support on self-acceptance of early adult women. The subjects of this study were early adult women according to Hurlock's theory, namely ages 19-40 years, a total of 102 of whom lived in the Surakarta residency. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collection tools in the form of self-acceptance scale, body image scale, social support scale. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression. The results show that there is a relationship between body image and social support with self-acceptance in early adult women. This can be seen from the value of the relation coefficient of R = 0.506; p = 0.00 (<0.01) which indicates a positive relationship between body image and social support for self-acceptance. The results showed that the subjects had high self-acceptance, high body image, and very high social support. Keyword: body image, early adult women, self-acceptance, social support
