Abstract

The problem that is often encountered by workers in an industry is fatigue. Work fatigue is a complaint that every worker complains about every day and is a bad impact of the workload that has exceeded the physical capacity of the worker. In the stamped batik industry in Kenep Village, workers do their work manually which can pose a risk to health, namely work fatigue due to the workload that must be borne and completed in order to achieve production targets. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between physical workload and work fatigue in stamped batik workers in Kenep Village Sukoharjo. This study used an analytic observational research design with a cross-sectional approach which was conducted on 50 stamped batik workers in Kenep Village Sukoharjo. Sampling in this study using total sampling. The analysis technique in this study uses the Spearman rank test. The results of the Spearman rank test show that there is a relationship between physical workload and work fatigue with a p-value = 0.022 (p <0.05) then Ho is rejected. The results of this test also show a correlation strength of 0.323 which indicates that the correlation is weak in the + (positive) direction, which means that the higher the workload, the higher the fatigue level of batik cap workers in Kenep Village Sukoharjo.
