Abstract
Concrete abrasion is the loss of weight that occurs on the surface of the concrete, caused by friction or impact and scouring by the flow of water. To support research on concrete abrasion, high volume fly ash (HVFA) concrete technology with the addition of bendrat wire fibers is used. The research was planned using the American Concrete Institute method with a quality of 25 MPa, the concrete was made with a cylinder size of 15 cm in diameter and 30 cm in height and a beam with a size of 30x15x6 cm. From the research conducted, it was found that with the addition of bendrat wire fiber can increase the compressive strength and tensile strength, the addition of 0.75% fiber can increase the compressive strength of 15.02% and the tensile strength of 6.3% of the concrete without the addition of fibers made. For the abrasion value the addition of fiber makes the concrete more abrasive, with the addition of 0.75% with a 3-hour test, the abrasion value is 38.81% greater than the concrete without the addition of fibers made. And from this study it was found that the addition of fiber decreased flow ability, as evidenced by the slump flow test of concrete with 0% fiber, the slump flow value was 700 mm, with the addition of 0.75% fiber it decreased to 650 mm and from the T50 test it decreased the flow velocity for looking for a diameter of 500 mm from 4 seconds for concrete without fiber to 11 seconds with the addition of 0.75% fiber.
