Abstract
The production process in Industrial Engineering Design Practicum 1 (PTI 1) is the final stage of practicum where practitioners implement all components of PTI 1 practicum which will produce a planned product. before the production process begins, there is preparation and gathering of the main materials used, namely PVC Foam material and meranti wood. The raw material for the PVC Foam Block material needs to be cut first where the size has been adjusted for each group of practitioners. The Single-minute exchange of die (SMED) method is used to analyze existing machining flow data and machining result times by converting internal setup activities into external setup activities. After research using the method, there was a change in the new setup activity and also a reduction in setup time in the PVC cutting process from 710 seconds to 240 seconds with a percentage reduction of 66%. In the setup time reduction stage, there is a proposal for improvement in the process activity by designing a tool in the form of a Cross Cut duplicate work table.
