Abstract

Batik is one of Indonesia's cultural heritage from the time of its ancestors which must be maintained and preserved. Batik itself has various artistic and cultural values and continues to grow today. The use of batik itself can be used for many things such as making cloth for Javanese fashion, clothing, to accessories, as well as materials for today's modern clothing, and many others. In making batik, it is also produced through Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM). The Satrio Utomo Batik UKM is one of many other UKMs in producing batik, which is located in Kedunggudel Hamlet, Kenep Village, Sukoharjo District, which is also a creative industry tourism village. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the business is feasible or not and can also increase the opportunities for SMEs to continue to develop with qualitative methods by analyzing (legal aspects, market aspects, technical aspects, and environmental aspects) and also for quantitative by analyzing the financial aspects of SMEs with three the assessment criteria are PP, NPV, IRR. From the results of this study, there are several influential aspects including market aspects regarding the broader market, technical aspects regarding production capacity, environmental aspects regarding impacts and waste management, and financial aspects which include the assessment of the Payback Period (PP) with a return on capital in the year to 1 month 9, Net Present Value (NPV) with a value of Rp. 516.398.427> 0 is said to be feasible, and the resulting Internal Rate of Return (IRR) is 52.79% > discount rate (30%) is said to be feasible. The results of this study indicate that UKM Satrio Utomo is feasible to be continued and developed in terms of the value of legal, market, technical, environmental, and financial aspects.
