Abstract
ABSTRAK Tanjungsari sub-district is a sub-district in Gunungkidul Regency which is directly adjacent to the Indian Ocean. Tanjungsari sub-district has a lot of tourism potential that is worth developing. With this, it is necessary to analyze tourism objects, which can be used as a direction for development and facilitate development, then a research entitled "Analysis of Physical Potential as a Direction for the Development of Geographic Information System-Based Tourism Objects in Tanjungsari Sub-district, Gunungkidul Regency" is made, with the aim: 1) to analyze the potential of tourism objects in Tanjungsari Subdistrict, 2) to examine the facilities and infrastructure of tourism objects in Tanjungsari Subdistrict, 3) to formulate tourism development in Tanjungsari Subdistrict. The method used in this research is a survey method that focuses on field surveys. Field observations were carried out in order to determine the physical condition and facilities and infrastructure of tourist objects that became the object of research. Data analysis methods in this study using scoring and for the direction of development is done by SWOT analysis. The results showed that: 1) The potential of tourist attractions in Tanjungsari District of Gunungkidul Regency has 2 kinds of potential classification levels, namely high and medium potential. Tourism objects that have high potential classification are Baron Beach, Mbuluk, Ngrawe, Kukup, Nglolang, Sepanjang, Watukodok, Drini, Krakal, Ngrumput and Kosakora Hill, while those with medium potential include Porok Beach, Sarangan, and Sanglen, 2). The availability of facilities and infrastructure in Tanjungsari Sub-district is almost entirely available, it's just that there are several tourist attractions that still do not have complete facilities for facilities and infrastructure, while the availability of entrance roads to tourist attractions has a fairly good condition on several attractions, including Watukodok Beach, Sanglen, Nglolang, Porok, and Sepanjang. 3) The development strategy of tourism objects carried out is to improve the quality of human resources, provide public transportation to get to tourist sites, develop, repair and maintain facilities and infrastructure at each tourist attraction, and conduct regular promotions through social media or online.
