Abstract

In this digital era, the education sector utilizes technology to facilitate the learning and assessment process. One of the institutions that utilize this information technology is SMKN 1 Surakarta. Based on interviews, it is known that SMKN 1 Surakarta still uses a Microsoft Excel legger to process grades. This can cause several problems, one of which is that if there is an error in the input value, it must be corrected manually. Entering values in the legger manually is time-consuming and requires high precision. Therefore, a system or application is needed that can help SMKN 1 Surakarta in processing grades into report cards quickly, effectively, and complying with health protocols. The method used in developing the SMKN 1 Surakarta report card information system is the Waterfall method. Making this web-based application is made using the PHP programming language with the help of using the Codeigniter Framework. In addition, the author also uses JavaScript and CSS with the help of the Bootstrap framework so that the website is more responsive. In this study the authors use 2 tests, namely the black box testing method and usability testing. The black box test results show that all menus in the application run as planned. The results of usability testing using the SUS method get a score of 72 (acceptable). The features used by this application are to input grades and export grades and print report cards. This application succeeded in processing the subject value input into the report card output of SMKN 1 Surakarta.
