Abstract
Motorcycle theft is a type of crime that often occurs in society. The security that exists on motorcycles today is only in the form of conventional keys and keyhole covers, but this security system already has loopholes so that it can be broken into by thieves. Therefore, this research will design an intelligent fingerprint-based security system for motorbikes using an Arduino microcontroller. The method used is the methodAgile development. Hardware which are used include arduino, fingerprint sensor, buzzer and relay. In this study four users were tested using the five fingerprints on their fingers under different conditions. The test results show that dry fingerprints have an error value percentage of 0%, dirty fingerprints have an error value percentage of 93.3% and wet fingerprints have an error value percentage of 83.3%.
