Abstract
Viruses are organisms that are spread all over the world. Viruses can be classified as pests or harmful organisms. The body of the organism that carries the virus is called the host, and the virus attacks the body of the host. This study uses the Certainty Factor method, which is the correct method on the website as a measure of the certainty of the disease suffered by the community, where this website-based system was established in this study, the advantage is that it can be used from anywhere with an internet connection. The purpose of this research is to create a website-based expert system stored in a MySQL database using the PHP programming language. For early detection of viral diseases based on the symptoms entered by the user. The results of this study using Certainty Factor have been successfully applied as an expert system that can diagnose complaints early by inputting the symptoms experienced by the user and the results of the diagnosis provide a percentage value for each user who inputs different symptoms. The benefits can help the community to make an early diagnosis independently so that it can make it easier for the community to find out early on the disease that is being experienced.
