Abstract
Demak Regency is an area that has experienced changes in land cover due to population growth and industrial development and development. This study aims to analyze the distribution of land cover in Demak Regency in 2021. To analyze the distribution of surface temperatures in 2021. To analyze the relationship between land cover and surface temperature in Demak Regency in 2021. The research method is a field survey method, while the sampling method is simple random sampling. . The data used is secondary data from Landsat 8 imagery. The results obtained 4 types of land cover, namely 488.47 km2 of vegetation land, 114.51 km2 of open land, 139.55 km2 of built-up land, and 154.90 km2 of water bodies. The results of the surface temperature distribution are divided into 5 temperature classes. The first class 21.5 – 23.5oC is included in very low temperatures, with an area of 60.33 km2. The second class, 23.5 – 25.5oC, belongs to low temperatures, with an area of 386.11 km2. The third class, 25.5 – 27.5oC, is included in high temperatures, with an area of 361.44 km2. The fourth class, 27.5 – 29.5oC, is included in high temperatures, with an area of 87.77 km2. The fifth temperature class of 29.5 – 31.5oC is included in very high temperatures, with an area of 1.78 km2. The simple regression test results show that water bodies have an effect of 51.8% on surface temperature. The other effect on built-up land is 33% of surface temperature. The effect of height is also found on open land by 30% of surface temperature. Low effect occurs on vegetated land, with an effect of only 0.3% on surface temperature.
