Abstract

This study aims to find out how this Arab lineage marriage takes place, and in general the descendants of Syarifah and Sayyid practice co-marriage through an arranged marriage system to determine potential partners. And for non-sayyid Arab descendants they have their own freedom or even more flexibility in choosing a potential partner. What is the view of Islamic law, for example in KHI (Compilation of Islamic Law) Article 61 regarding same-sex marriage in Arabic nasab. This research uses normative law method. The data source is in the form of a literature study with the technique of collecting data, analyzing and describing in accordance with the research theme of Sekufu Arabic lineage marriage which still occurs at this time. The results or conclusions obtained from this research are in fact the Arabs who carry out same-sex marriages only carry out their marriage traditions with fellow sayyids or lineages that are of the same bloodline as the Prophet Muhammad SAW with one of their goals being to maintain the lineage/lineage of his majesty Prophet Muhammad SAW but for non-sayyid groups tend to be flexible in choosing a potential partner. The Compilation of Islamic Law does not even mention about same-sex marriage, which is measured by lineage based on social status, education, wealth and so on because it can lead to discrimination.
