Abstract
Work experience, understanding of the world of work, and work knowledge are very important things for every human being to have in order to become qualified human resources in an increasingly developing world of work. Higher education as a place to gain knowledge, not only provides students in the form of theory, but also in the form of skills in practice. The practice carried out at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta is a Ministry of Education and Culture's MBKM program called Independent Entrepreneur. Internship practice is the application of theories that have been learned during lectures into the real world of work. The Independent Entrepreneurship Program at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta provides the option of finding your own internship. This internship is a requirement for students participating in the Merdeka Entrepreneurship Program to get the second stage grades. This internship activity is not only to get the second stage grades, it is also a means for students to enrich adequate skills and prepare themselves carefully and sufficiently to face competition in the world of work which is getting wider and tighter each process. Improving the quality is important to do with the reason to enrich adequate capabilities and prepare themselves carefully and sufficiently to face competition in the world of work.
