Abstract
The family is the main pillar in instilling the value of Islamic education in their children, with the foundation of the Qur'an and Hadith as a guide then a family will live life well and truly. Parents have a great responsibility in educating their children because in today's society and one's Creed has been damaged by several factors both from the environment and increasingly sophisticated technology, so the role of parents is needed in educating children from Creed, worship to good and true morals so as not to fall into the evil. This study is a type of qualitative research. Then after all the data obtained are structured and systematic, the next step is data analysis, using deductive-inductive analysis, namely checking the power by triangulating, or comparing data from literature sources with various factual data in the field. Then a conclusion can be drawn from the research as well as an answer to the formulation of the research problem. And from the results of research from 5 families consisting of fathers, mothers and one child that parents have done well in carrying out their roles, namely starting from instilling religious character, which then as a form of giving a good example to children, providing supervision to children, giving advice and directions to children, scolding children angrily, educating children not to repeat themselves, teaching children to tell the truth, and teaching children to respect
