Abstract

Early marriage is an underage marriage carried out by a husband and wife, one of which the bride has not met the age limit for marriage. In November 2019, Marriage Law Number 1 of 1974 Paaal 7 was revised to become Law Number 16 of 2019. This law discusses the age limit for marriage, initially 16 years for women was changed to 19 years. In Indonesia, there is a marriage dispensation rule, which is about giving a person the right to marry even though his age is based on the approval of the prospective bride. This study discusses the effect of the law on increasing marriage dispensation at the Blora Religious Court. And what is the basis for the judge to grant the application for a marriage dispensation after the enactment of Law Number 16 of 2019
