Abstract

The Habitat II Conference or City Summit which was held in Turkey in 1996, produced the idea of a Child Friendly City (KLA). In 2005, the Ministry of Empowerment of Women and Children appointed several cities and regencies as pilots for the KLA project. Semarang City is the Capital City of Central Java Province which applies the KLA concept to Semarang Mayor Regulation number 20 of 2010, in 2022 Semarang City will be ranked 2nd or Nindya. One of the implementations of KLA is the Smart Park, this park is not just a playground, but has educational functions and talent development. The city of Semarang itself has many city parks, but these parks are just playgrounds so they can have an impact on children's boredom. The main goal of the Smart Park Planning is to provide space for the community, especially children, to play, learn and develop their potential. This park can also be used by the community around the park to carry out various activities such as exercising, socializing and trading activities. It is hoped that the existence of the Smart Park can have a positive impact on the people of Semarang City, especially for the people around the park.
